Desc: Life in a Fistful of rice: Directed by Tashi Dorje Gyamba. North-East India is a rich treasure trove, arguably one of the elder cradles of civilization. The film explores three states in the region and brings forth temporal and spatial, similarities and differences in between unique microcosmic societies within these shared boundaries. Cultural heritage is the sacred thread that binds the film, often surfacing reasons of believed what, was, is, why and why should be. And the milieu revolves around insignia rice, a fundamentally life nurturing crop since times immemorial.
